21 Bansa, nagpahayag ng suporta sa Pilipinas matapos ang panibagong insidente sa Ayungin Shoal

Nagpasalamat ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa mga bansa na nagpahayag ng suporta sa Pilipinas at sa pagdepensa sa International law matapos ang panibagong insidente sa Ayungin Shoal sa pagitan ng barko ng Pilipinas at ng China Coast Guard at Chinese militia vessels.
Pahayag ng ahensiya “The DFA thanks the international community for their continued expressions of support to the Philippines and the defense of the International order based on International law ”
Ayon pa sa DFA, umaabot sa 21 bansa ang nagpahayag ng suporta at pag-aalala sa mapanganib na aksiyon at paggamit ng water cannons ng Tsina sa resupply boat ng Pilipinas noong March 23 sa Ayungin Shoal.
Kabilang sa mga ito ay ang Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, EU, Finland, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, Republic of Korea, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, at United States.
Iginiit ng DFA na handa ito na gawin ang lahat ng mga kinauukulang diplomatikong aksiyon para iprotesta ang mga paglabag sa soberenya at hurisdiksiyon ng Pilipinas at sa UNCLOS.
Dagdag pa ng DFA “The Department remains committed to take all appropriate diplomatic actions to protest the violation of the Philippine sovereign rights and jurisdiction and violations of International law, particularly UNCLOS”.
Binigyang-diin ng DFA na hindi mapipigilan ang Pilipinas ng mga pagbabanta ng Tsina sa paggiit ng mga legal na karapatan nito sa Ayungin Shoal na nasa EEZ at continent shelf ng Pilipinas “As mentioned in the NTF- WPS Statement of 23 March 2024, the Philippines will not be deterred by threats or hostility, from exercising its legal rights over its maritime zones, including Ayungin Shoal, which forms part of the Philippine EEZ and continental shelf”.
