South Korean actor na si Seo In Guk, itinalaga ng DOT bilang Celebrity Tourism Ambassador for Korea
Opisyal nang Celebrity Tourism Ambassador for Korea ng Pilipinas ang South Korean actor at singer na si Seo In Guk.
Ito ay matapos ang pormal na paglagda sa memorandum of understanding ngayong Biyermes sa pagitan ng aktor, Department of Tourism (DOT), at Tourism Promotions Board (TPB).
Ang Philippine Tourism Ambassador program na ito ay inisyatiba ng DOT at TPB para mapaigting ang appeal ng Pilipinas bilang premier travel destination sa mga Koreano.
Tiwala si Tourism Secretary Secretary Christina Frasco na sa pagkakatalaga ni Seo bilang tourism ambassador ay mas mahihikayat ang mas marami pang Koreano at mas maipapakilala ang Pilipinas sa buong mundo bilang tourist must-visit.
Aniya, “We anticipate that more South Koreans will come to love the Philippines. We will ensure that this partnership will allow us to invite our friends from South Korea to come to the country to focus as well on specific products for tourism that includes our beaches, our dive sites, as well as our golf and all the other experience one can have in the country.”
Napili aniya ng DOT si Seo na maging Tourism Ambassador dahil bukod sa talento at pagiging popular nito sa mga Pilipino, Koreano at sa iba’t ibang nasyonalidad dahil sa Korean dramas na pinagbisahan nito, ay talagang mahal at gusto ni Seo ang Pilipinas at mga Pilipino.
Ayon kay Frasco, “Mr. Seo In Guk has been very consistent in volunteering his love for the country. he’s also been highly recommended by our Philippine Embassy to South Korea, as well as out Department of Tourism office in South Korea.”
Nagpasalamat naman ang aktor sa karangalan at malaking responsibilidad na ito, at siniguro na pagbubutihin niya ang promosyon sa Pilipinas bilang travel destination.
