Ceremonial turnover of donations ng Russia sa Pilipinas, ginanap sa Iligan City, Lanao del Norte
Pormal na isinagawa ang ceremonial turnover of donations mula sa gobyerno ng Russia para sa bansang Pilipinas sa pamamagitan ng Department of Social Welfare and Development ( DSWD) sa DSWD Warehouse, Refractories Corporation of the Philippines, Dalipuga, Iligan City.
Nilalayon ng pagbibigay ng donasyon na makatulong sa mga IDP’s o internally displaced person na apektado ng samut-saring kalamidad sa bansa, kasama na ang mga biktima ng kaguluhan sa Marawi, at mga biktima ng Tropical Depression Urduja, Tropical Storm Vinta at ang kamakailan lang na Tropical Depression Agaton.
Tinanggap ni Usec. Luzviminda Ilagan DSWD Undersecretary for Legislative Liaison Affairs and Special Presidential Directives ng Mindanao Region ang humanitarian aid galing sa Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Philippines, His Excellency Igor Anatolyevich Khovaev at kay Honorable Igor Veselov, ang acting DIrector-General of the Department of International Activity of the Ministry of the Russian Fedearation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of COnsequences of Natural Disasters.
Dumalo rin sa seremonya sina Undersecretary Ernesto Abella ng Department of Foreign Affairs, Iligan City Mayor Celso G. Regencia, Assistant Secretary Felix Castro Jr. ng Task Force Bangon Marawi at isang representante ni Marawi City Mayor Majul Gandamra.
Ayon sa DSWD, ang iniabot na tulong ay patunay lamang ng umuusbong na international solidarity ng dalawang bansa. Gagawin ng ahensya ang lahat para maibigay agad sa mga beneficiaries ang mga donasyon sa mga apektadong mga pamilya.
