Dalawa patay sa gas explosion sa Nairobi

Dalawa katao ang namatay at hindi bababa sa 222 ang nasaktan sa malaking sunog na resulta ng isang gas explosion sa Nairobi, kapitolyo ng Kenya.
Sinabi ng government spokesman na si Isaac Maigua Mwaura, “A truck loaded with gas exploded, igniting a huge ball of fire that spread widely in Embakasi, a neighborhood in the southeast of Nairobi.”
Sinundan ito ng isang sunog na tumupok sa kalapit na warehouse ng tela at damit, habang pininsala rin ang ilang mga sasakyan maging ang commercial at residential properties.
Aniya, “As a result, two fellow Kenyans have regrettably lost their lives while being attended to at the Nirobi West Hospital, and at least 222 people were injured in the incident.”
Ayon sa Kenyan Red Cross, 271 mga indibidwal ang isinugod sa iba’t ibang emergency units sa mga ospital sa Nairobi.
Samantala, sinabi ni Mwaura na na-secure na ang pinangyarihan ng insidente at nagtayo na rin ng isang command center upang tumulong sa rescue efforts.
