DOT nakipag-partner sa local airline para isulong ang Halal tourism sa bansa

Magtutulungan ang Department of Tourism (DOT) at ang AirAsia Philippines para mas maisulong ang Halal tourism sa Pilipinas.

Kasunod ito nang pormal na paglagda ng DOT at ng AirAsia Philippines isang memorandum of understanding.

Sa ilalim ng kasunduan, titiyakin ng airline ang pagkakaloob ng Halal-certified meals sa lahat ng flights nito.

Sa parte naman ng DOT, magbibigay ito ng mga pagsasanay para mas mapaigting ang serbisyo ng airline sa Muslim-friendly tourism.

Sinabi ni tourism secretary Christina Frasco, “Napakalaki ng potensiyal ng Halal and Muslim-friendly tourism para sa Pilipinas, dahil yung Halal tourism globally is one of the largest sectors of tourism and it’s values is growing exponentially. We’re grateful for this partnership and collaboration to ensure that our Muslim travelers would be able to experience this.”

Ayon naman kay AirAsia Philippines CEO Ricardo Isla, “As a matter of fact, last year we actually served a total of of 550 thousand rice meals of Halal food in AirAsia Philippines alone.”
