Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson waxwork aayusin dahil sa ‘skin tone complaints’

Sinabi ng isang French museum na agad nilang aayusin ang waxwork ni Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, matapos ireklamo ng isang US actor ang maputing kulay nito.
Si Johnson, na mula sa Samoan at Black origin, ay nagpost sa Instagram noong weekend upang magbiro tungkol sa kaniyang ‘botched’ wax figure na gawa ng Grevin Museum, dahil maputi ang kulay nito at may kaunti lamang pagkakahawig sa kaniyang itsura.
Sa post ni Johnson ay nakasaad, “For the record, I’m going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grevin Museum, in Paris, France, so we can work at ‘updating’ my wax figure here with some important details and improvements — starting with my skin color.”
Nitong Lunes ay sinabi ng museum staff na nagsasagawa na sila ng “reworking” sa naturang wax figure, at ang isang ‘updated’ version ay ire-reinstall ngayong Martes.
Sinabi ni Yves Delhommeau, museum director, “They’re going to work all night on it so that it’s more in line with fans’ expectations. Crews will work through the night to ensure the likeness is more in keeping with the expectations of his fans. We’re also going to reconfigure the lighting because there was a lighting issue that was having the effect of lightening his skin.”

Ang Grevin Museum, na pinupuntahan ng halos 800,000 mga bisita bawat taon, ay nagsagawa ng unveiling sa wax figure ni Johnson sa social media noong isang linggo.

Sa naturang video ay sinabi ni Jefferson, “The Rock was being made to look like former England soccer star David Beckham or ‘part of the Royal family.’ I’m low-key offended.”
Noong 2018, ang museum ay nakatanggap din ng katulad na pagkutya dahil naman sa wax figure ni French President Emmanuel Macron.
Ang isang Grevin sculpture ay inaabot ng anim na buwan bago matapos at ginugugulan ng 50,000 – 60,000 euros ($60-70,000).
