Ilang AI-enabled technologies sumasailalim na sa pilot testing sa mga piling hukuman
Sinimulan na ng Korte Suprema ang pilot testing ng ilang artificial intelligence- enabled technologies sa hudikatura.
Ayon sa Supreme Court, isa na rito ang paggamit ng AI software sa voice- to- text applications para sa court stenographers.
Kabilang ito sa mga ipinagmalaki ng SC sa unang taon ng Strategic Plan for Judicial Innovations 2022-2027.
On going na ang pilot testing ng nasabing AI technologies sa mga piling hukuman.
Nilinaw naman ni Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo na hindi layon ng teknolohiya na palitan ang mga stenographer kundi lalo pang mapaghusay ang mga trabaho nito.
“We will retool their skills that’s our committment. Text- to- voice will not eliminate the job of the stenographers. It will make them more efficient and reliable,” pahayag ni Gesmundo.
Bukod sa voice- to- text na AI software, magdi-develop at magdi-deploy din ang SC ng intelligent at AI- enabled platforms para sa self-help at public assistance services.
“The kiosks will assist the public as to court processes and procedures, provide answers to some of their queries, and the like. They
may also be utilized in informing the public regarding the status of their cases pending before the trial courts. The Court will also utilize AIenabled platforms in identifying areas of law where preventive legal literacy may be of value,” saad pa ni Gesmundo.
Ayon sa punong mahistrado, napatunayan sa mga karanasan ng developing countries na malaki ang maitutulong ng technological advances sa pagpapabuti sa access sa hustisya at mga reporma sa hudikatura.
Tiniyak ng SC na para makamit ang digital transformation sa hudikatura ay bibigyan din nito ng mga kinakailangan na kasanayan at kaalaman ang mga court personnel para makasabay ito sa mga pagbabago.
“…the Court is investing heavily in upgrading the capabilities of judicial employees, along with members of the bar, to equip them with the requisite tools and skillsets necessary to thrive in this digital era,” dagdag pa ng chief justice.
Paliwanag pa ng SC ang AI- enabled voice- to- text at AI- enabled legal research tools ay ginagamit na sa ibang bansa at may malaking pakinabang sa hudikatura ng Pilipinas.
Kapag nagtagumpay ang pilot testing nito ay iro-roll out ang mga ito sa mga dagdag na korte at kung may sapat na budget ay sa lahat na ng hukuman sa bansa.
