Israel army sinabing nasa ilalim na ng kanilang ‘operational control’ ang Gaza side ng Rafah crossing

Sinabi ng Israeli army na nakuha na nila ang “operational control” sa Palestinian side ng Rafah border crossing sa pagitan ng Gaza at Egypt, at ini-scan na ng mga sundalo ang lugar.
Sa isang military briefing ay sinabi ng militar, “Last night, IDF (army) troops ‘managed to establish operational control of the Gazan side of (Rafah) crossing,’ the main entry point for aid deliveries to the besieged territory.”
Dagdag pa nito, “Right now at the moment what’s happening, we have operational control over the Gazan side of Rafah crossing, and we have special forces scanning the area to find additional terror infrastructure or terrorists. The operation is not over yet. It’s ongoing.”
Ayon pa sa militar, ang ground troops ay nagsasagawa ng operasyon sa eastern Rafah.
Sa kanilang pahayag, “Overnight, IDF ground troops began a precise counterterrorism operation based on IDF and ISA (the Israeli Security Agency, Shin Bet) intelligence to eliminate Hamas terrorists and dismantle Hamas terrorist infrastructure within specific areas of eastern Rafah.”
Sa briefing ay binanggit din ng militar na mayroon silang isang “very targeted operation” at isang “very limited scope against very specific targets” sa eastern Rafah.

Nitong Lunes, ipinag-utos ng Israel sa mga residente sa eastern Rafah na lumikas at lumipat sa isang “humanitarian zone” na nasa hilagang-kanluran ng siyudad, isang araw matapos mapatay ng rocket na pinawalan ng mga militante ang apat na mga sundalo at ilan pa ang nasugatan, sa Kerem Shalom crossing sa pagitan ng Israel at Palestinian territory.
Banggit pa ng militar, simula nang umpisahan nila ang kanilang operasyon sa eastern Rafah, ay 20 mga militante na ang kanilang napatay.
Nagpalabas sila ng video footage na nagpapakita sa isang tangke na bumabaybay sa Palestinian side ng Rafah crossing.
Isang bandila ng Israel ang makikita sa lugar, habang makikita naman sa drone footage ang ilan pang mga tangke.
Ayon pa sa militar, “A vast amount of the organisation and the people in the area within (which) we gave the evacuation notice yesterday (Monday) moved to a safer zone.’
