Magnitude 7.5 na lindol sa Taiwan; DMW, binabantayan ang situwasyon ng OFWs doon

Handa ang Migrant Workers Offices sa Taiwan na magkaloob ng agarang tulong sa OFWs na naapektuhan ng malakas na lindol doon.
Ayon sa Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), minomonitor nito ang kalagayan ng mga Pilipinong manggagawa sa Taiwan kasunod 7.5 magnitude na lindol.
Agad din ini-activate ng tatlong Migrant Workers Offices doon ang mga protocol sa Pinoy communities, mga lider at kinauukulang ahensya ng Taiwan para masiguro ang kaligtasan at lagay ng mga OFW doon.
Nakikipag-ugnayan din ang DMW sa mga employer at trade associations ng Taiwan-based OFWs.
Pahayag ng DMW “The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) is monitoring the situation of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Taiwan following a strong earthquake that rocked the island state just before 8:00 this morning.
The DMW’s three Migrant Workers Offices (MWOs) in Taiwan immediately activated protocols with Filipino communities, leaders, relevant Taiwan government agencies as well as employers and trade associations to ascertain the safety and status of Taiwan-based OFWs.
The Taiwan MWOs are prepared to provide immediate assistance to affected OFWs as necessary”.
