NTC inireklamo din matapos na suspendihin ang ARTA officials kaugnay sa NOW Telco
Kinasuhan din sa Office of the Ombudsman ang
National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) matapos na suspendihin ang ilang opisyal ng Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA).
Ang reklamo ay inihain ng media affiliates ng
NOW Telecom Company, Inc. (NOW) na
NOW Cable, Inc. (NCI) at News and Entertainment Network Corp. (News net).
Nais ng NOW media affiliates na NOW Cable, Inc. (NCI) at News and Entertainment Network Corp. (News net) na suspindehin rin ng Ombudsman ang NTC.
Binuweltahan ng NOW Telco na pagmamay-ari ni Mel Velarde ang NTC makaraang suspendihin ang ARTA officials.
Una nang pinatawan ng Ombudsman ng anim na buwang suspensyon ang limang opisyal at direktor ng ARTA na sina Director General Jeremiah Belgica, Eduardo Bringas, Sheryl Sumagui, Jedrek Ng at Melamy Salvadora-Asperin.
Ang suspensyon ay nag-ugat sa mga kasong Grave Misconduct, Gross Neglect of Duty at Conduct Prejudicial to the Best Interest of the Service laban sa mga ito dahil sa
paggawad ng Contingent Frequencies pabor sa NOW noong 2021.
