P244M standby fund at P108M halaga ng non-good items nakahanda para sa bagyong Betty – OCD
Aabot sa P244.7 milyong halaga ng Quick Response Fund (QRF) ang naka-standby para gamitin ng Office of Civil Defense (OCD), upang tulungan ang mga kababayang maaapektuhan ng Typhoon Betty (may international name na Mawar).
Sinabi ni Undersecretary Ariel Nepomuceno, Civil Defense Administrator at Executive Director ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), bukod sa QRF, aabot din sa P108.2 milyong halaga ng prepositioned non food items ang naihanda ng OCD Central at regional offices nito.
“All these are ready for distribution to assist the affected communities. Other resources of the government are also on standby including our equipment for emergency telecommunications, transportation assets, among others,” ayon sa statement ni Usec. Nepomuceno na ibinahagi ng Presidential Communications Office (PCO).
Bahagi pa rin ng paghahanda ng OCD at NDRRMC, in-active nito ang emergency preparedness and response (EPR) protocols na siyang magiging gabay para sa agarang pagtulong sa mga maaapektuhan ng kalamidad.
“We continue to coordinate with different agencies on preparations for Super Typhoon ‘Betty.’ This is to ensure that all necessary measures are in place from the national down to the local level. We have already identified and activated appropriate emergency preparedness and response protocols in different regions to be affected by the weather disturbance,” dagdag pa ni Nepomuceno
Simula noong Biyernes ay naka-activate na rin ang response clusters ng pamahalaan.
