Pamilya ng dalawang Pinoy na namatay sa giyera sa pagitan ng Israel at Hamas militant group tutulungan ng DSWD

Inatasan na ni Department of Social Welfare and Development o DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian ang Operations Group ng ahensiya upang hanapin ang pamilya dito sa Pilipinas ng dalawang Pinoy na iniulat na namatay dahil sa sagupaan sa pagitan ng Israeli military forces at Hamas Militant Group sa Gaza Strip.

Sinabi ni DSWD Spokesman Assistant Secretary Romel Lopez na nakikipag-ugnayan na si Udersecretary for Operations Group Pinky Romualdez sa tanggapan ng Department of Migrant Workers o DMW para mahanap ang kinaroroonan ng pamilya ng dalawang Pinoy na namatay sa Israel.

Ayon sa DSWD bagamat hindi mapapalitan ng anomang halaga ng pera ang buhay ng dalawang Pinoy na namatay dahil nadamay sa kaguluhan sa pagitan ng Israel at Hamas militant group pagkakalooban ng financial assitance ang kanilang pamilyang naiwan sa Pilipinas.

Maliban sa financial assistance magsasagawa din ang DSWD ng counseling sa pamilya ng dalawang Pinoy na namatay sa Israel upang maibsan ang kanilang emotional stress dahil sa nangyaring trahedya sa kanilang mahal sa buhay habang naghahanapbuhay sa ibang bansa.

Pahayag ni DSWD spokesman Romel Lopez;

DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian directed Undersecretary for Operations Group Pinky Romualdez to get in touch with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and get the details of the families of the two Filipino migrant workers who were killed when the militant Hamas launched a surprise attack in southern areas of Israel.

We understand that no amount of money can relieve the sufferings of the families who lost their loved ones in the Hamas attack against Israel, the DSWD will make sure that all possible assistance will be given to them.

Financial aid under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program of DSWD is available to families of the two slain Filipinos.

As the department helps individuals through these difficult times, psychosocial counseling will work hand in hand with financial support to ensure a comprehensive approach.

In addition to receiving financial support, the families will be directed to their own regional offices where social workers will evaluate them and determine what services they will require in their hometowns.
