Pilipinas at Russia, lalong lumalim ang relasyon sa nakalipas na 5 taon – Amb. Khovaev

Lalong lumalim at lumago ang ugnayan ng Pilipinas at Russia sa nakalipas na limang taon.
Ito ang inihayag ni outgoing Russian Ambassador to the Philippines Igor Khovaev.
Sa eksklusibong panayam ng Eagle Broadcasting Corporation ( EBC ) kay Amb. Khovaev, sinabi nito na nagpapasalamat siya na sa ilalim ng pamumuno nina Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at Russian President Vladimir Putin ay mas naging malapit ang dalawang bansa.
Naging bukas din aniya ang maraming isipan at higit na naiintidihan ngayon ng mga pinoy na hindi kalaban ang Russia kundi kaibigan at katuwang ng Pilipinas.
“ …many of Filipinos and Russian really understand that our two nations need each other. Many Filipino understood that Russia is not kind of an enemy or Russians are not bad guys from Hollywod movies but Russia is a reliable partner and close friend. Believe me it means a lot this tremendous change of mentality of perception not ..some it easier to do..than change mentality psychology the last few years are very crucial even essential. I believe that Filipino and Russian, they have a lot in common, they not only can be reliable partner and close friends but they deserve to be close friend and reliable partners and indispensable mutually beneficial cooperation in many field including trade and investment technology, public health and culture, sport and so on. If we don’t trust each other, if we don’t undestand each other adequately, we won’t able to do anything together. Now we are able to do that, it’s time to open up new unprecendent horizon mutually beneficial between two nations and this chance should not be missed, we have no right to miss this chance” ani Khovaev.
Sinabi ng Ambassador na simula pa lang ito ng mabuting relasyon at pagkakaibigan ng dalawang bansa at mas marami pang dapat gawin para mapagbuti at ma-explore ang ugnayan ng Pilipinas at Russia.
Dapat lang aniya na maging consistent at persistent ang dalawang bansa para maisulong pa ang mga posibleng kooperasyon sa ekonomiya, trade, investment, transportasyon, enerhiya, kalusugan, seguridad, depensa at iba pa lalo na’t pareho ang interes gayundin ang mga kalaban at hamon na hinaharap ng Pilipinas at Russia.
” for example one of great achievement opening up of…for example use of nuclear technology for peaceful pruposes, exploration of outer space, information technology now we are discussing posssiblities of cooperation in the field of vaccine and so on..I am happy to say we manage to double the volume of our bilateral trade but it just the begining because our potential is much much bigger so we need to take much effort in order to open market for Philippine goods and …Russia, we have a lot to offer, Russia is a big country…sophisticated technology we are ready to share our technologies with our Philippine partners..economies…many Philippine product are in demand in the Russian market for example, sea or agri products, typical fruits and many other goods” dagdag ni Khovaev.
Lubos naman ang pasasalamat ng Russian Ambassador kay Pangulong Duterte dahil sa ang foreign policy nito ay nagbukas ng maraming oportunidad para maging magkaibigan at partner ang Russia at Pilipinas.
“the support from President Duterte, I had a privileged to talk with him many times and every opportunity to talk is encouraging and enjoyable to me…from the bottom of my heart I’m very grateful for his support and ubderstanding.. ” sabi pa ng Russian envoy.
Samantala, pinasalamatan din ng Russian diplomat ang Iglesia Ni Cristo sa pangunguna ng Tagapamahalang Pangkalahatan, Brother Eduardo Manalo dahil sa mabuting ugnayan at kooperasyon nito sa embahada.

Nagpasalamat din ang Ambassador sa Eagle Broadcasting Corporation dahil sa tulong nito para mas maraming Pilipino ang makaalam sa mga magagandang proyekto at programa sa pagitan ng Russia at Pilipinas.
“…all people from EBC for our very fruitful productive cooperation last five years we highly appreciate highly value professionnal approach.. .convinced that thank to our closer cooperation, We at Russsian Embassy and EBC help many Filipinos to uderstand better Russia, understand better prospect and possibilities of our bilateral cooperations..I’m very grateful for you for that” sabi ng Russian diplomat.
Isa naman sa hindi makakalimutang katangian ng mga Pinoy na babaunin at dadalhin ni Ambassador Khovaev sa kanyang pag-alis sa bansa ay ang pagiging palangiti ng mga Pilipino.
Aminado ang Ambassador na hindi palangiti silang mga Russian pero salamat aniya sa kaniyang pananatili sa Pilipinas dahil natuto siyang maging palangiti.
“as for your smiling style, I like this style very much..grateful to Filipinos for teaching me how to smile, being here in the Philippines, I smile much more than I did in Moscow and I like it so much …I’m very grateful to Filipinos for infecting me with the most pleasant virus…not COVID-19, the virus of smile ” sabi ng Embahador.
Inihayag ni Khovaev na mapalad siya dahil sa marami siyang naging kaibigan sa Pilipinas at nagpapasalamat siya sa tulong at suporta ng mga ito na naging matagumpay ang kaniyang pananatili sa bansa bilang Ambassador.
