Russian at Belarusian athletes, hindi kasama sa Paris Olympics opening ceremony

Inanunsiyo ng Olympic chiefs na hindi magiging bahagi ng opening ceremony ang Russian at Belarusian athletes na lalaban sa Paris Games ngayong summer sa ilalim ng isang neutral flag.
Sinabi ni OIC director James Macleod pagkatapos ng isang executive board meeting ng International Olympic Committee (IOC) sa Lausanne, “Individual Neutral Athletes (AINs) from either country ‘will not participate in the parade of delegations and teams’ during the opening ceremony since they are individual athletes. But an opportunity will be provided to them to experience the event.”
Ayon kay Macleaod, ang AINs ay nasa site, ngunit hindi kasama sa mga pasahero ng boat parade sa River Seine sa July 26.
Aniya, “The scenario mirrored that at the 1992 Barcelona Games for ‘Independent Olympic Participants from former Yugoslavia. Ayon sa OIC, “No flag, anthem, colors or any other identifications whatsoever of Russia or Belarus will be displayed at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 in any official venue or any official function. No Russian or Belarusian government or state officials will be invited to or accredited for the Olympic Games Paris 2024.”
