Vehicle charging stations sa Quezon City, binuksan ng DOST
Sa pakikipagtulungan sa Quezon City government sa pangunguna ni Mayor Joy Belmonte at ang University of the Philippines National Center for Transportation Studies, binuksan ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST), ang tatlong electric vehicle (EV) charging stations sa siyudad.
Ang charging stations ay nasa UP Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute, QC Department of Public Order and Safety office at sa Payatas environmental office.
Malugod namang tinanggap ni Enrico Paringit, executive director ng DOST Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development, ang partnership nito sa city government para sa pagsisimula ng Electric Mobility and Charging Infrastructure Operating bilang isang Network project.
Sa pakikipagtulungan sa Department of Energy, ang Quezon City government ay namahagi ng ilang e-trikes sa tricycle operators.
Ayon kay Paringit, umaasa silang maipo-promote ang electric vehicles sa lungsod upang mahimok ang mga motorista na gamitin ang EVs na isang mas malinis at mas environment-friendly option para sa public transportation.
