2021 target na 50M PhilSys registrations, nakuha ng gobyerno
Naabot ng Phil. Statistics Authority (PSA), ang target na 50 million registrations para sa Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) ngayong 2021 sa kabila ng mga hadlang dulot ng Covid-19 pandemic.
Hanggang noong December 10, ang PSA ay nakapagrehistro na ng 5,014,382 Filipinos sa demographic at biometric data collection.
Sa pakikipagtulungan sa PSA, nakapagproseso rin ang Land Bank of the Philippines ng 6,786,939 bank account applications sa pamamagitan ng isang colocation strategy sa PhilSys registration centers.
Ayon kay Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Karl Kendrick Chua . . . “The pandemic emphasized the urgency of providing every Filipino with a unique and digitalized ID. This is why we accelerated the rollout of the PhilSys. We congratulate and thank the PSA, our government and development partners, private sector stakeholders, and registration officers for making this huge accomplishment possible.”
Upang maabot ang mas marami pang Filipino, ang PhilSys registration sites ay mananatiling bukas sa nalalabi pang working days ng taon.
Sumama rin ang PSA sa pribadong sektor sa pagho-host ng mobile registration sa kani-kanilang workplaces at communities.
