Mga COVID-19 contact-tracing application developers, inimbitahan sa data privacy summit ng National Privacy Commission
Magsasagawa ng data privacy summit para sa technology sector ang National Privacy Commission (NPC) sa Setyembre 27
Tinatayang mahigit 300 software developers ang dadalo sa virtual summit na tinatawag na
“DPO 24: The Data Protection Officers’ Assembly for the Technology Sector.”
Bukas ang aktibidad sa lahat ng information technology offices at mga departamento ng LGUs, mga indibiduwal na software developers at mga mula sa private institutions.
Ayon sa NPC, inabisuhan din nito ang DILG at League of Cities of the Philippines na imbitahan sa summit ang kanilang internal o partner software developers para sa kanilang contact-tracing apps o websites.
Nanawagan ang NPC sa software developers ng mga COVID contact-tracing apps para sa mga LGUs na umakto bilang privacy watchers.
Hinimok din ang mga ito na mag-integrate ng privacy-by-design approach at magkaroon ng proper consent mechanism.
Kabilang sa tatalakayin sa virtual summit ang contractual agreements at pagbalanse ng privacy sa data sharing, data privacy best practices sa eCommerce, best practices sa electronic consent at online privacy notices, at mobile app privacy.
