Isa patay, lima sugatan sa New York subway shooting
Isa katao ang nawsawi at limang iba pa ang nasaktan sa pamamaril sa isang New York subway station, kasabay ng rush hour.
Nakatanggap ng alerto ang mga awtoridad ilang sandali makalipas ang alas-4:30 ng hapon nitong Lunes, at anim katao ang dinala sa ospital ayon sa fire department.
Sinabi ni New York City police transit chief Michael Kemper, “We don’t believe this was a random shooting… We believe this shooting all stems from a dispute between two groups that started on a train. Unfortunately one of the victims, a 34-year-old (male), was pronounced deceased.”

Nagsagawa naman ng fingerprint search ang police detectives at agents mula sa federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), kasunod ng pamamaril.
Karaniwan na ang mass shootings sa Estados Unidos, kung saan mas maraming baril kaysa sa mga tao at humigit-kumulang sangkatlo (1/3) ng mga nasa hustong gulang ang nagmamay-ari ng baril.
Ang New York ay may mas mababang rate ng homicide kaysa sa maraming pangunahing lungsod sa US, at ang pagkakaroon ng mga baril sa publiko ay ilegal para sa mga sibilyan sa halos lahat ng pagkakataon.
