US Marine Joseph Scott Pemberton hindi pa palalayain ng Bureau of Corrections
Hindi pa makalalabas ng kulungan ang Amerikanong sundalo na si Joseph Scott Pemberton na nahatulan sa pagpatay sa transgender woman na si Jennifer Laude noong 2014.
Ayon kay Justice Undersecretary at Spokesperson Markk Perete, hindi pa ipo-proseso ng BuCor ang paglaya ni Pemberton dahil may pending pang apela sa hukuman.
Anya hihintayin muna ng BuCor ang resolusyon ng Korte sa inihaing Motion for Reconsideration ng pamilya Laude laban sa kautusan na palayain na si Pemberton.
Sinabi naman ni Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra nahinihintay pa ng DOJ ang kabuuang report mula sa kanilang mga piskal sa Olongapo City at ang mga kopya ng kautusan ng korte at mga dokumento na inihain ng mga partido sa kaso.

“The BuCor will not yet process the release of Pemberton since there is a pending MR filed in court. The BuCor will await the resolution on the MR.”
Justice Sec. Menardo Guevarra.
“We are awaiting a full report from our prosecutors in Olongapo City and copies of the court order and papers filed by the parties. Please bear with us.”
