DOH: Philhealth Identification No., hindi kailangan para makatanggap ng libreng Covid-19 Vaccine mula sa Gobyerno
Nilinaw ng Department of Health na hindi kailangan ang Philhealth Identification Number para mabigyan ng bakuna kontra Covid-19.
Ito ang nilinaw ng DOH kasunod ng pahayag ni PhilHealth President at Chief Operating Officer Atty. Dante Gierran na kailangan ang PhilHealth Identification Number para makatanggap ng bakuna kontra Covid-19 mula sa gobyerno.
Binanggit ni Gierran ang isang Memorandum umano ng DOH na ang mga nais magpabakuna ay dapat na magparehistro gamit ang “unique identifiers” gaya ng PIN.
Pero sa isang statement, sinabi ng DOH na hindi kailangan ang PIN para makapagparehistro sa pagtanggap ng bakuna.
Ayon sa DOH ang PIN na ito ay kailangan lang kung magke-claim ang isang myembro ng benepisyo sa PhilHealth sakaling makaranas ng adverse events matapos makabakunahan.
Statement DOH:
“Following the statement of the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) that a Philhealth Identification Number (PIN) is required for COVID-19 vaccination, the Department of Health (DOH) clarifies that PIN is not a requirement to register for and receive the COVID-19 vaccine, and is only required when claiming PhilHealth benefits in cases of adverse events following immunization (AEFI).”
Para naman masiguro ang coverage ng lahat ng Filipino na hindi pa rehistrado sa Philheath sakaling makaranas ng adverse events at maospital ay magtatatag ang gobyerno ng registration booths sa mga vaccination sites para sa onsite PhilHealth registration.
“To ensure Philheath coverage of Filipinos who are not yet registered to Philhealth in cases of AEFI that need hospitalization, the government will set up registration booths at official vaccination sites to facilitate onsite PhilHealth registration.”
Iginiit ng DOH na sa ilalim ng Universal Health Care Law lahat ng Filipino ay awtomatikong magiging myembro ng PhilHealth.
“The DOH further reiterates that under the Universal Health Care (UHC) Law, all Filipinos, whether direct or indirect contributors, including dependents of contributors, indigent members, senior citizens, and persons with disability, are automatic members of PhilHealth.” —
