Dating Pangulong Duterte, tiniyak ang buong suporta kay Pangulong Bongbong Marcos
Nagpahayag ng buong suporta si dating Pangulo at PDP-Laban Chairman Rodrigo Duterte kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Sa talumpati ni Duterte sa national assembly at panunumpa ng mga bagong opisyal ng PDP-Laban, sinabi ng dating presidente na hindi nila kakalabanin si Marcos at ang partido nito.
Sa halip aniya ay ibibigay ng PDP-Laban ang buong suporta kay PBBM.
“We are not putting up a strong party against the party of the president. We are not going to quarrel. Far from it. We will be giving our full support for him politically,” pahayag ni Duterte.
Umaasa naman si Duterte na gagampanan nang maayos ni Marcos ang kaniyang tungkulin sa taumbayan alinsunod sa mandato rito.
Gayunman, nilinaw ni Duterte na kung may makita silang mali sa Marcos Administration ay pupunahin nila ito dahil ito ay parte ng kanilang responsibilidad.
“But the president can be very sure that in the coming days, we will fiscalize. ‘Pag may nakita tayong masama, we will raise our voice, because that is the essence of
our presence here,” ani Duterte.
Samantala, inihalal na bagong presidente ng PDP-Laban si Palawan 2nd District Representative Jose Alvarez.
Kasama rin sa mga nahalal na bagong opisyal ng partido sina Senador Robinhood Padilla bilang Executive Vice President.
Gayundin sina Parañaque City 1st District Rep. Edwin Olivarez bilang Vice President for NCR; Senador Francis Tolentino bilang Vice President for Luzon; Cebu City Mayor Michael
Rama bilang Vice President for Visayas; at Senador Ronald Dela Rosa bilang Vice President for Mindanao.
