DPWH hinikayat ni PBBM na tapusin sa oras at mas murang gugol ang infra projects
Ipinatitiyak ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) na matatapos nito sa oras at mas mababa sa takdang budget ang mga proyekto nito.
Ginawa ng Pangulo ang mensahe sa kaniyang pagsasalita sa ika-125 taong anibersaryo ng DPWH na idinaos sa headquarters nito sa Port Area sa Maynila.
Inaasahan din ni Pangulong Marcos na mananatiling committed ang kagawaran sa pagtupad sa 8-point Socioeconomic Agenda ng administrasyon sa pamamagitan ng konstruksyon ng mga critical infrastructure projects at pagsusulong sa inobasyon na magbibigay benepisyo sa mga Filipino.
“It continues to be my hope that everyone in the Department of Public Works and Highways will remain steadfast in its mandate as well as stay committed to fulfilling this administration’s 8-point Socioeconomic Agenda, by committing to construct and finish critical infrastructure projects on time, on schedule, and under budget,” pahayag ng Pangulo sa kaniyang talumpati.
“In line with this, I urge you to continue streamlining your procedures, preventing delays and cost and overruns and enforcing transparency measures in all government projects and transactions.”
Tiniyak naman ng Chief Executive sa kagawaran na gagawin ng gobyerno ang lahat para gawing makabago at mas maalam sa bagong paraan at teknolohiya ang mga infrastructure projects ng pamahalaan.
Dagdag pa ng Pangulo dapat maging bukas ang DPWH sa konsepto ng “inclusive and accessible design” at pagtiyak na magiging matibay ang mga istruktura sa mahabang panahon.
“We will harness the power of technological advancements and innovations in the development of our infrastructure systems.”
“And most importantly, ensure the resilience, the dependability, adaptability, and sustainability of our structures so that even future generations will use and benefit from it,” dagdag na pahayag pa ng Pangulo.
“Acknowledge the needs of all individuals, including people with disabilities, pregnant women, the elderly, the very young, as well as incorporate elements of Filipino culture and history into its infrastructure designs to foster a sense of pride and belonging amongst the communities.”
Tampok sa anibersaryo ngayong taon ng DPWH ang mganatatanging proyekto ng kagawaran at kontribusyon nito sa pagbangong muli ng bansa.
Ilan sa mga natatanging flagship projects ng DPWH ang San Juanico Bridge, Cultural Center of the Philippines (CPP), at ang Pan-Philippine Highway na nagdugtong sa kahabaan ng Laoag City sa Ilocos Norte patungong Zamboanga sa Mindanao.
