Higit 1,500 mga sundalo at 71 reservists, lalahok sa joint exercises ng AFP sa Cebu
Sisimulan na ngayong araw ang joint exercises ng mga sundalo ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), na tinawag na AFP Joint Exercise (AJEX) DAGIT-PA sa Visayas Command headquarters sa Cebu City.
Ang ibig sabihin ng DAGIT-PA ay “dagat, langit at lupa,” na ang layunin ay mapagbuti pa ang performance ng AFP, Army at Navy at pasulungin ang joint interoperability operations.
Nabatid na aabot sa 1,533 mga sundalo at 71 reservists ang lalahok sa taunang unilateral exercises, na tututok sa Territorial Defense, Internal Security Operations, at Cyber Defense operations.
Sa naturang exercise ay sasanayin ang mga sundalo sa air detection and interception, luve fire exercise, urban operations, maritime operations, amphibiois operations, at cyber defense exercise.
Ayon sa AFP, gagamitin sa pagsasanay ang light armored vehicles at Howitzers, Navy frigate, patrol ship, landing dock, naval helicopters at fixed wing aircraft, gayundin ang FA-50PH, SF-260 Hermes 900, at Black Hawk choppers ng Air Force, maging ang Amphibious Assault vehicles ng Marine at M35 at KM450 trucks.
