Ilang mga senador hindi sang ayon sa pagpapatalsik kay Sereno
Dismayado ang mga ilang mga Senador sa naging desisyon ng Korte Suprema na patalsikin sa puwesto si Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno sa pamamagitan ng Quo Warranto petition.
Kapwa sinabi nina Senate minority leader Franklin Drilon at Sonny Angara na hindi ang Quo warranto ang tama, legal at constitutional way para tanggalin ang isang impeachable official gaya ni Sereno.
Sabi ni Drilon tila ang Solicitor General na ngayon ang itinuturing na pinaka makapangyarihang opisyal sa Burukrasya.
Senador Drilon:
“This decision makes the Solicitor General the most powerful official in the Bureaucracy, even more powerful than both the House of Representatives and the Senate so far as the removal of Impeachable officers is concerned”.
Para naman kay Senador Antonio Trillanes ito na aniya ang pinaka-madilim na nangyari sa kasaysayan ng Pilipinas.
Tila pinatay rin aniya ng mga Mahistado ng Korte Suprema ang justtice syatem.
Sen. Trillanes:
“It is now the darkest hour in our democracy. The Supreme Court, which is supposed to be the cradle of our fragile Constitution, is the same body that killed it. Those SC justices who committed this heinous crime against our justice system”.
Hindi rin pabor si senador Sonny Angara sa hakbang ng Korte Suprema.

Iginiit naman ni angara na tanging ang kongreso lang anf binigyan ng kapangyarihan ng saligang batas na tanggalin sa pwesto ang mga impeachable officials kabilang na ang mga mahistrado ng korte suprema.

(I do not agree with the decision because impeachment is the only constitutional route for removal of a CJ but acknowledge that the Court has spoken. The ripple effect of the decision may be felt in the coming months and years.I pray that wisdom and sobriety prevail in the future for the good of the country n our people )
