Israel Embassy, iginiit na karapatan ng Israel na idepensa ang sarili nito vs. Hamas

Nanindigan ang Embahada ng Israel sa Pilipinas na may karapatan ang Israel na ipagtanggol ang sarili nito sa pag-atake ng Hamas noong Oktubre 7.
Ito ang pahayag ni Israel Ambassador to the Philippines Ilan Fluss matapos ang pro-Palestinian rally ng ilang militanteng grupo sa labas ng tanggapan ng embahada sa Taguig City.
Ayon sa diplomat, non-negotiable ang karapatan ng Israel na idepensa ang kanilang bansa at mga mamamayan nito mula sa terorismo.
Aniya, bawat malayang bansa ay may obligasyon na protektahan ang mamamayan nito gaya ng Israel
“Israel has the right to defend itself on a war imposed on us by Hamas on October 7. The right of Israel to defend itself and its citizens against acts of terror is unequivocal and non-negotiable. Every sovereign nation has the inherent duty to protect its citizens, and Israel is no exception. Any attempts to undermine this right are an affront to the principles of self-defense and national security.”
Sinabi pa ni Fluss na ang mga pagtatangka para pahinain ang nasabing karapatan ay paghamak sa mga prinsipyo ng self defense at pambansang seguridad.
Nilinaw din ng Israeli Official na hindi inookupa ng Israel ang Gaza at wala itong planong sakupin ang lugar. Iginiit ng Israeli envoy na ang giyera nito ay laban sa Hamas na isa aniyang terror group “Contrary to misconceptions and false information, Israel is not occupying Gaza; the war is with the terrorist organization Hamas, not the Palestinian people. Israel is not occupying Gaza and has no plans of occupying Gaza. Unfortunately Hamas is the government of Gaza. “
Samantala, muling kinontra ni Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ang panawagan ng ceasefire sa Hamas dahil katumbas aniya ito ng pagsuko sa terorismo na hindi nila papayagan ” Israel will not agree to cessation of hostilities with hamas after the horrifc attacks of oct 7 calls for ceasefire calls for israel to surrender to hamas to surrender to terrorism to surrender to barbarism that will not happen.”
