Mary Jane Veloso isasailalim sa limang araw na quarantine sa Correctional Institution for Women sa Mandaluyong City pagdating sa bansa – BuCor
Kinumpirma ng Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) na nasa Indonesia na ang ilang opisyal nito kabilang si BuCor Director – General Gregorio Catapang, Jr., bilang pinuno ng
Oplan “Sundo-Nesia” na delegasyon na sasama kay Pinay death row convict Mary Jane Veloso pabalik ng Pilipinas.
Ayon kay Catapang, sasailalim sa limang araw na quarantine sa Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) sa Mandaluyong City si Veloso, bilang bahagi ng protocol sa mga bagong ipipiit na PDL.

Batay aniya sa manual of admission and confinement ng PDLs sa BuCor, pansamantalang mananatili si Veloso sa Reception and Diagnostic Center nang hindi lalagpas sa 60 araw.
Kasama na rito ang limang araw na quarantine period at 55-day orientation, diagnostic evaluation, at initial security classification.
“Bureau of Corrections Director General Gregorio Pio P. Catapang, Jr., who is now in Indonesia as head of Oplan “Sundo-Nesia,” the delegation who will accompany Veloso back into the country cited the Bucor’s Manual on the admission and confinement of PDL saying that Veloso as newly committed PDL shall be mandatorily housed at the Reception and Diagnostic Center for not more than 60 days, comprising of a 5-day quarantine period and a 55-day orientation, diagnostic evaluation, and initial security classification, after which, she shall be transferred to her assigned corrections facility based on the approved resolution of the RDC Initial Classification Board.”
Sa panahon ng quarantine ay ilalagay si Veloso sa regular quarantine cell para sa medical at physical examination.
“During the 5-day quarantine, Veloso shall be placed in a regular Quarantine Cell for medical observation, during which a medical and physical examination shall be given to determine any handicap, physical or mental illness.”
Pagkatapos ng limang araw na quarantine na papatak ng December 24, ay maaari nang mabisita si Veloso ng kaniyang pamilya.
Tiniyak ni Catapang na ilalagay sa hiwalay na selda si Veloso at ang itinuturong illegal recruiter nito para hindi sila magkita.
“The Bucor chief also assured the public and Veloso’s family that Mary Jane and her alleged illegal recruiter will be confined on separate facilities so they will not see each other.”
Miyerkules ng umaga inaasahang darating sa bansa si Veloso pagkatapos pormal na mailipat ang kustodiya nito sa Pilipinas mula sa Indonesia.
