NAIA modernization, may positibong epekto sa tourism arrivals sa Pilipinas – DOT
Suportado ng Department of Tourism (DOT) ang Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Project Concession Agreement sa pagitan ng gobyerno at SMC Consortium.
Ayon sa DOT, ang hakbangin ay patunay ng hangarin ng pamahalaan para mapataas ang mga pamantayan sa mga imprastraktura sa transportasyon at turismo sa bansa lalo na’t mahalaga ang papel ng turismo sa ekonomiya ng bansa.
“As the tourism sector continues to play a pivotal role in the Philippines’ economic growth and development, the modernization of NAIA reinforces this administration’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for tourism prosperity.”
Dagdag pa ng DOT, sumisimbolo rin ito sa dedikasyon ng adminstrasyon para mapaunlad ang pangkabuuang passenger experience at kalidad ng serbisyo sa pangunahing gateway ng bansa alinsunod sa National Tourism Development Plan 2023-2028.
” The DOT sees the privatization of the NAIA as only the first of the many initiatives that the national government, together with the private sector, should pursue to improve the country’s gateways, to include as well our secondary airports and various seaports across the country.”
Naniniwala rin ang DOT na ang NAIA concessional agreement ay magbubunga ng mas malaking tourist arrivals at mas maraming trabaho sa industriya ng turismo.
