Nobenta’y sais porsiyento ng NBA players, nabakunahan na
Inanunsiyo ni NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, na halos 96% ng mga manlalaro ang nabakunahan na laban sa Covid-19.
Sinabi ni Silver, na dumami pa ang bilang ng nagpabakuna at inaasahang madaragdagan pa ito kapag nagsimula na ang bagong NBA season.
Aniya . . . “Roughly 96 percent of our players are vaccinated, and that number will likely tick up a bit when the season starts.”
Sinang-ayunan ni Silver ang league-wide vaccination mandate na tinutulan ng NBA Players Association, bagama’t pinaboran ito ng NBA Referees Association.
Ayon kay Silver . . . “I would have preferred ultimately that the players association agreed on mandatory vaccinations.”
Dagdag pa niya . . . “That outreach will continue. We think that at the end of the day players being fully informed is helpful. The science very much supports getting vaccinated, not just for themselves but for their families and their communities.”
Inaasahan naman ni Silver na kikita ng 10-bilyong dolyar ang bagong NBA season, dahil na rin sa pagbabalik ng fans sa arena.
Aniya . . . “We lost significant amounts of money. The good news I think is that we’re able to take a long-term view of this business and continue to grow in it, continue to invest in it.
