Isinulong ng Pilipinas sa Ika-pitong Asian and Pacific Population Conference sa Bangkok, Thailand ang social protection, gender equality at ang positibong kontribusyon ng mga migrante sa socio-economic development.
Inorganisa ang Conference ng United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) sa pakikipagtulungan sa United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Asia and the Pacific.
Ayon sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), inihalal din na Vice- Chair ng 7th Conference si
Commission on Population and Development Executive Director Undersecretary Lisa Grace Bersales.
Kasama ni Bersales sa Philippine delegation ang mga kinatawan mula Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Health (DOH) at DFA.
Sa country statement na inihayag ni Bersales, inilatag ang mga pangunahing social protection priorities ng bansa sa inaprubahang Philippine Population and Development Plan 2023-2028.
Sinabi ni Bersales na ang development plan ang overall blueprint para matugunan ang population challenges.
Tinalakay din ng delegasyon ng Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health Law at ang pagkatatag ng Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).
Sinabi pa ng DFA na ang mga intervention ng Pilipinas sa conference ay nagpapatibay sa inclusive economic growth strategy ng bansa.
