Patay ang walo kataong lulan ng isang light plane na bumagsak sa isang four-lane road malapit sa kabisera ng Malaysia, na ikinamatay din ng dalawang motoristang nasa kalsada.
Sumabog ang eroplano matapos bumagsak at naglabas ng makapal at itim na usok.
Sinabi ni Shah Alam district police chief Mohamad Iqbal Ibrahim, “For now, I can say at least 10 people were killed in the plane crash. Two passing motorists — one in a car and one on a motorcycle — also perished together with the eight on board the plane.”
Ayon sa pulisya, kabilang sa lulan ng eroplano na nasawi ay si Johari Harun, isang state assemblyman sa central Pahang state na namamahala sa housing and environment.
Sa pahayag naman ng civil aviation authority ng Malaysia, anim na mga pasahero at dalawang flight crew ang sakay ng Beechcraft Model 390 aircraft nang ito ay bumagsak.

Ang eroplano ay umalis mula sa northern resort island ng Langkawi at papalapit na sa Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, sa Selangor state west ng Kuala Lumpur, kabisera ng Malaysia nang mangyari ang insidente, ayon kay civil aviation authority chief Norazman Mahmud.
Aniya, “No mayday call was made. An investigation into the crash will be made by the Air Accident Investigation Bureau.”
Sinabi naman ni Mohamad Syahmie Mohamad Hashim, isang dating miyembro ng Malaysian air force, “I saw the plane flying erratically. Not long after that I heard a loud boom. I sped towards the location and saw the remains of an aircraft. I also saw (a) human body on fire. I couldn’t do anything.”
Ayon kay Transport Minister Anthony Loke, “The plane had been cleared to land but ‘veered to the right of the landing flight path’ before it crashed.”
Aniya, ang pangunahing misyon ng imbestigasyon ay hanapin ang black box ng eroplano na naglalaman ng flight date nito.
Sabi pa ni Loke, “For now we cannot say what was the cause of the crash since investigations are underway. We do not want to make any speculation at the moment. Forensic officials are identifying the remains of all the victims.”

Batay sa kuwento ng mga nakasaksi, ang eroplano ay umapoy nang bumagsak ito sa kalsada patungo sa isang expressway sa Elmina Estate malapit sa labas ng Shah Alam, na kinaroroonan ng mga bahay at mga pabrika. Nakarinig din sila ng isang pagsabog.
Isang social media user ang nagbahagi ng maikling video kung saan makikita ang apoy at maitim na usok na nagmumula sa crash site, kung saan nagkalat ang mga debris.
Sa isa pang video na kuha naman mula sa dashcam ng isang motorista, makikita ang isang bola ng apoy na nagmula sa eroplano nang bumagsak ito sa kalsada.
